T4 Workshops

On Thursdays T4 Technology runs workshops. Our aim with these workshops is to reduce the learning curve for people who are new to the Mac.

All workshops will be taught using OS X Mavericks and the latest versions of any application used. If you would like to upgrade please visit the Mac App Store and download the latest software. Please note that each workshop runs for 1 hour.

These workshops are offered free to people that purchase computers from T4. If you didn’t purchase your Mac from T4, each workshop is $55. Alternatively you can book in for three workshops at $110.

    What you will learn:

Go Your Own Pace - Have you ever wished the trainer would slow down for you? Well this is the workshop for you. We cover some of the Getting Started with your Mac workshop, but taken at a pace that you set.

Getting Started with your Mac - Got a new Mac? Learn how easy it is to use a Mac at this Getting Started Workshop. We'll show you the basics, where files are stored, how the Dock works and show you how to accomplish on a Mac what you used to do on a Windows PC.

Mountain Lion Essentials - OS X Mountain Lion will let you have more fun, and be more productive, no matter how you use your Mac. This Essentials workshop expands on the Getting Started Workshop, going into email, Safari, Mission Control and new gestures.

iPhoto for Mac - Find out why iPhoto makes it easier than ever to organize, enhance, and share your entire digital photo collection. Now with the Faces and Places features iPhoto really is the only photo management application you will need. We also cover how to make a photo book and the new Photo Stream service that is part of iCloud.

iMovie for Mac - iMovie has been refined and it's going to change the way you make movies. We will take you through the basics of organising your clips, choosing a theme, and editing your project. Then we go through using titles, effects, and transitions, adding photos and audio. And once you have finished your movie we will show you how to share it with friends and family.

    iPad workshops listed below:
iPad & iTunes - We'll explore iTunes and learn why it is the best digital jukebox with the #1 music store inside. You'll learn to import and organize your music, buy music or audio books from the iTunes Music Store, create playlists, and share your music. And with iPad, you can take your favorite music and even photos with you wherever you go.

iPad Essentials - At this workshop we’ll explore iPad: email, settings, switching between different apps, organising, watching movies, listening tomusic, reading books and much more. You will also learn about a few the apps from the App Store. Bring along your questions and App suggestions to share with each other. We will also review iCloud and how it can benefit you.
